Files With Sidney Lau Lyrics and Musical Notation for the New Songbook Now Available

Files with the complete Traditional characters & Cantonese Sidney Lau lyrics & musical notation for the new songbook are now available for download from the Songbook—Romanised Material page. An A5 paper size (148 × 210 mm / 5.8 × 8.3 in.) file and an A4 paper size (210 × 297 mm / 8.3 × 11.7 in., similar to letter size) file are available. (Yale romanisation material may follow later if there is sufficient demand.)

Thanks go out to those who helped to produce these files.

The password to extract the PDF files may be obtained from ones who already use these files, since such ones should have the password as well as the directions regarding who only to pass it on to. Once you receive the password, please only pass it on according to the directions you receive along with it. Also, to obtain passwords, request e-mail notification of news regarding available resources, or if you have any questions or comments, you may e-mail me at waynerj@shaw.ca, providing information such as what group or congregation you’re with, who referred you to this site, etc. Update, 2010-01-05: A password is no longer required to access these files.

If you still need Mandarin pinyin, Cantonese Sidney Lau, or Cantonese Yale versions of the old Sing Praises songbook for some reason, email me to let me know and I will email the appropriate files to you.

Files with the complete Simplified characters & pinyin lyrics & musical notation for the new songbook are now available for download from the Songbook—Romanised Material page. An A5 paper size (148 × 210 mm / 5.8 × 8.3 in.) file and an A4 paper size (210 × 297 mm / 8.3 × 11.7 in., similar to letter size) file are available. These files are only intended for those who have not yet received their official pinyin new songbooks. New songbook material with Cantonese romanisation & musical notation will be posted later as it becomes available. Update, 2009-12-28: Files with the complete Traditional characters & Cantonese Sidney Lau romanisation lyrics & musical notation are now available as well, in both A5 and A4 paper size versions.

Corrections Made to Alternative Songbook

A Request from Bangkok, Thailand

I recently got an email from Br. D. Herrmann, which said,

Dear brothers,

I got a request from a sister in Bangkok, Thailand. There a Mandarin-speaking brother or couple is needed to start a group and conduct a Chinese book study. The branch already granted that a group could immediately be started, if the above condition is fulfilled. By now there are no brothers there, only one Mandarin-speaking sister.

If you need further information, please send your questions. Also if you have the chance to visit Bangkok for some time to help, it would be very much appreciated.
